The Stock Market Volatility between China and Asean Countries Association Studies based on Complex Networks

ABSTRACT

By constructing the volatility network of stock market indexes in China and ASEAN, the mechanism of transnational market risk transmission and the characteristics of key nodes are analysed. Finding the volatility network is a good description of the linkage and tightness of the various share index volatility. The COVID-2019 led to a significant increase in convergence of behaviour patterns of major country share indexes, and significant differences in node changes and topological features of the volatility network. A few share indexes in Singapore and Thailand are key nodes and the source of market risk in the transnational stock market. Dynamic analysis shows that the evolution of share index volatility network reflects that the overall risk of volatility network changes with time, the information link structure of the market changes with time, and major emergencies break the original structure and trigger the information connection in the market. The findings of this paper have important implications for understanding the characteristics of transnational risk transmission between the stock markets of China and ASEAN.

Heart Disease Prediction using Machine Learning and Deep Learning

ABSTRACT

Heart disease is most common disease reported currently in the United States among both the genders and according to official statistics about fifty percent of the American population is suffering from some form of cardiovascular disease. This paper performs chi square tests and linear regression analysis to predict heart disease based on the symptoms like chest pain and dizziness. This paper will help healthcare sectors to provide better assistance for patients suffering from heart disease by predicting it in beginning stage of disease. Chi square test is conducted to identify whether there is a relation between chest pain and heart disease cases in the United States by analyzing heart disease dataset from IEEE Data Port. The test results and analysis show that males in the United States are most likely to develop heart disease with the symptoms like chest pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, fatigue, and nausea. This test also shows that there is a week corelation of 0.5 is identified which shows people with all ages including teens can face heart diseases and its prevalence increase with age. Also, the tests indicate that 90 percent of the participant who are facing severe chest pain is suffering from heart disease where majority of the successful heart disease identified is in males and only 10 percent participants are identified as healthy. The evaluated p-values are much greater than the statistical threshold of 0.05 which concludes factors like sex, Exercise angina, Cholesterol, old peak, ST_Slope, obesity, and blood sugar play significant role in onset of cardiovascular disease. We have tested the dataset with prediction model built on logistic regression and observed an accuracy of 85.12 percent.

When Should They Buy? Surviving Machine Learning Models for Purchase Timing

ABSTRACT

Unlocking the value of raw data requires transforming it into knowledge and information that drives decision-making. Algorithms for Machine Learning (ML) are capable of analyzing big datasets and delivering accurate predictions. Using machine learning, market segmentation, customer lifetime value, and marketing approaches have been used.

This article explores machine learning approaches for marketing, including Support Vector Machines, Genetic Algorithms, Deep Learning, and K-Means. It is rare for ML to be used to forecast when a person will purchase a product or a basket of goods.

The survival models Kernel SVM, DeepSurv, Survival Random Forest, and MTLR are evaluated to predict individual tine-purchase choices in this research. Gender, Revenue, Location, Purchase History, Online Behaviour, Interests, and Promotions According to the research, both discounts and CustomerExperience have an impact on the amount of time spent making a purchase. The research indicates that the DeepSurv model best predicted purchase completion. These insights aid in raising conversion rates for marketers.
